Anna Bowden, born at Ebenezer Mission, and Caleb Morgan, born at Coranderrk reserve, married in 1899. They were among the most important members of the Australian Aborigines’ League, though they never held any executive positions in the organisation.

Expelled from Cumeroogunga in 1908 for protesting against the seizure of the farm blocks, by the New South Wales Aborigines Protection Board, they protested against the treatment of Aboriginal people on reserves at various points in the years that followed [hyperlink to Document 34 in the Archive].
